Scott Elliott is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Austin Graduate School of Theology. He is married to Laura and they have two sons, Jackson and Dylan. He enjoys writing about the Christian faith and posting the occasional film review. His articles and reviews have appeared in RELEVANT magazine, Englewood Review of Books, and other publications. He contributed a chapter to the book Why We Stayed: Honesty and Hope in Churches of Christ. Scott has taught preaching and ministry classes at Austin Graduate School of Theology. He is certified in church revitalization and loves helping congregations who want to make a difference in their communities. He is an engaging speaker who loves to share God’s word each Sunday.

Bobby Chilek and his wife Pam joined the La Grange Church of Christ in 1992. They have two wonderful children, Kristen and Jeff. Bobby served as a deacon at the church for 15 years and now serves as an elder. He retired from LCRA as Plant Maintenance Manager and enjoys spending his free time building custom boats and sailing.

Tom is married to Leigh Anne and they have two children, Kenzie and Ty. Tom grew up in Stamford, TX and is a graduate of Texas A&M. He enjoys watching football and tending to his cattle. Tom leads singing as well as teaches Bible classes. He served as a deacon before becoming an elder.

Paul K. Vogel is a retired Austin Police Officer and retired US Army Reserves with 39 years of service. He was called back to Active Duty and is currently in the US Army as a Special Agent with the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command. He moved to La Grange in 2004 along with his wife Robin, they have two grown children Russell and Paula and two Grand Kids Layla and EMMA, with a third grandchild due in Feb 2016. Paul and Robin were prior members with the Southwest Church of Christ in Austin, Texas before joining the membership at LCOC in 2004.

Frank and Susan Smith met at Texas A&M University in 1983 and were married on campus one year later. They moved from College Station in 1989 when Frank became a professor at St. Edward’s University.  They both retired from their respective teaching careers in May, 2017 and moved from Austin to La Grange later that year.  Their one son, Dallas, and his wife, Taylor, preceded them to Fayette County, and they were all blessed with their first son/grandson, Edward, in January, 2018.
