Our Mission

  • Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples

God has a mission and he invites us to join him in what he is doing. He has given us the greatest commands and great commission to follow. Our lives are to be dedicated to loving God in all that we do, loving others every opportunity we get, and making as many disciples as possible. Each of these commands is important. If we neglect any of them, our mission is incomplete.

  • Commit to Community

When we become Christians, God gives us a family. Like every family, we have commitments and responsibilities to this group of people. These are the people with whom we are to worship God and serve others. We are to love the people within this group in ways that outsiders notice. We are to be present when the church gathers to encourage and uplift one another. We are to celebrate the joys of life together and support one another in times of sorrow. Our commitment to this community is essential to our faith development and mission in this world.

  • Invest and Invite

How do we make disciples? We begin by investing in others and inviting them to worship and serve alongside us. We all know people. The people God has placed in our lives are the people we are to invest in. We are to use dinner tables just as Jesus did to get to know people and let them know we care. Like Jesus, we are to take note of the people around us and stop and give them our attention. As we do this, we will find opportunities to bless them and invite them to be a part of what God is doing. God has a mission not only for us but for them as well.

  • Redeem Our County

If we are following God as we should, then it will make a difference. It will make a difference in our lives and in the lives of the people around us. If we are committed to being a light in the places that we live, then the light of God will shine in the darkness. We must think beyond the walls of our homes and the church building. God’s mission for our lives is to go into the world. We are to join God in seeking what is lost and redeeming it. If there are people who are hungry, we are to feed them. If there are people in need, we are to help them. If there are people who are lost, we are to tell them about Jesus. Our mission is to leave our mark on the places where we live so that others will come to know God and glorify him.
